This is a picture of an American football game (US) / match (UK).
On the picture, there are two players.
There is also a referee who is wearing a uniform.
(Be + V-ing = ici et maintenant)
Referees wear uniforms.

In order to play football you need equipment. (dans le but de / équipement)
You need a helmet, an oval ball and shoulder pads.
In order to become a football player you need to be fast, muscular, athletic, competitive and have stamina.
If you want to be a football player you need to train every day, you mustn't smoke cigarettes and you must be healthy.
There are eleven players on a football team.
A football game lasts one hour. (durer)
The aim is to / You must carry the ball behind the opponent's line / the opposite team's line.
! En anglais le 'to' indique un but, une visée, un déplacement vers quelquechose.
